The Bruton Lloyd programme combines contemporary career guidance methodologies developed by Harvard and MIT with our 20 years of expertise in educational planning and admissions to leading universities. Consultations are conducted personally by the founders of Bruton Lloyd, never delegated to junior consultants.
What the programme includes:
Step 1. Individual Consultation with an Expert

Together with the student, we conduct an in-depth assessment of:
- the student’s interests, goals and motivations
- academic strengths and areas for development
- personal characteristics and learning style
- their current educational pathway
Step 2. Aptitude & Career Assessment

We use internationally recognised assessment methodologies, including:
- CliftonStrengths — identifying natural talents and key strengths
- Multiple Intelligences (Harvard) — assessing different types of ability
- Schein Career Anchors (MIT) — identifying key drivers of career motivation
- Holland RIASEC Model — analysing professional interests and suitable areas of work
- CareerExplorer — assessing personality traits and identifying suitable career fields
Step 3. Personal Career Strategy & Recommendations

A Bruton Lloyd expert interprets the assessment results and develops a personalised set of recommendations covering:
- suitable career directions
- the choice of A-level or IB subjects
- relevant degree and university options
- additional skills, projects and experiences that can strengthen the student’s university application
Step 4. Personalised Analytical Report
The family receives a comprehensive written report, providing a clear, practical action plan to support decisions about the student’s school and university pathway.
The report includes:
- the student’s profile of abilities and interests
- recommendations for their educational pathway
- potential career directions
- a step-by-step plan for the next stage
